Ok so here is how I am rolling this week....

Devouring Nina and Patrick's Offspring abode in Inside Out Magazine

Flipping between Home Beautiful 

and Real Living .

Loving this home made concrete stool.
Not sure if it would be too comfy to sit on.  

Maybe it's a "look at me" stool instead ! 

And I have welcomed this little guy into my world this week. 

 A $6 bargain from Target and I have converted him to holding Roses and Camellias for me instead of utensils.

Simplifying Zen Style

I stumbled along some gem Zen habits to Simplify my life
 and felt they were worth sharing.

Here are my Top 5:



1. For every new item you acquire set 2 free.
(I didn't promise it would be pain free)



2.Reduce your wardrobe to a few essential items. 
( I could live dreamily in this)



3.Want you have and not what you don't.
 (The grass isn't always greener on the other side I have found).



4. Create a weekly meal plan, it will save you time and money at the supermarket.
(Who doesn't want to do that)?



5. Unsubscribe to all those emails, Rss feeds and newsletters. 
 Who has time to read junk mail? 



I am feeling lighter already. Are you?

Wintery Gratitude

Welcome to our second Week of Winter on this side of the Hemisphere.

I am trying to embrace the season in it all the Chilly goodness that comes with this cosy time of year.

So this Winter I am grateful for ...

Our Central Heating at home.

My electric blanket keeping me cosy at night.

Our new crochet blanket which is on it's way, cannot wait to give it a workout!

Winter Nesting

I am going to take the long weekend to Update Our Nest with some Winter Wonders.

Here is my Wishlist for this Winter thus far:

New Cushions.

  Laura Ashley are having a sale and there is a pink velvet delight I have been hearting for sometime now.

Fresh Flowers and Indoor Plants.

  Cyclamens are my fave Winter wonder pick me up.

New Candles, some heavier scented ones.

  I always love French Pear for a Wintery feel.

Fresh Mugs.

Time to buy some new mugs to sip lots of hot beverages out of over the coming months.

  I recently acquired some new drinking vessels from Country Road and they keep my tea steaming hot for sure.

Rugs and Throws to layer up the Nest.

  Lots of warmth underfoot and plenty of warmth to snuggle up in.

The Greatest Gatsby !

I went, 
I watched
 and I swooned.

 Not just over Leonardo

 but over ....

The RUGS !!!!

 They were a triumph Ms Martin.

Daisy was dazzling to say the least dripping in all those jewels....

 The Workers Cottage.
My absolute fave.

  What an enchanted little garden of Eden.

For over 2 hours I was mesmerised in Long Island Land.

I think I need to go back and watch it all over again.

Bookworm

I am becoming a bit of a bookworm now the weather is cooling down.

There seems to be more of an excuse to curl up and read.

 If only I could curl up on this pink piece of divinity!

I am loving the memoirs of Grace Coddington

 ( yes she is Anna Wintour's right hand girl)

and like everyone else on the planet that has eyes that will read.....

It's all about Gatsby !
